To audition for PVA Dance, students are required to have previously submitted all components of the PVA application process. Please see Apply Online for further information.
Video Audition Submission
- Applicants will submit a 1-2 minute long dance video
- For your dance video, our preference is that you show us a piece of choreography of any style, either self-choreographed or choregraphed by someone else.
- If you do not have a piece of choreography to share, your dance video can be a short exercise, improvised solo or even a tik tok dance, we are watching to see how you move.
- Please ensure that you are completely visible in your video, if you are dancing at home, be sure to create some space and that you are not moving in and out of the video frame.
Individual Interview
Applicants and a parent/guardian will be required to attend a 10-minute interview conversation with a member of the dance department. During that time, we want to understand the dancer’s passion and commitment to dance, and explain the expectations of our specialized program. It’s beneficial for students and parents to ask questions and determine if we are a good fit for them as well!
PVA auditions and interviews are friendly and supportive. This may be your first audition ever and we want everyone to have a positive and fun experience.
